# HX-02B candidate search and selection

HX-02B is the replacement external-truth candidate search after the Kim HX-02 custody stop. Aero screened 13 credible literature/report candidates across PCHE, shell-and-tube, compact finned, NASA aerospace and cooling-panel families.

The selection is scoped to thermal-fluid observables: inlet/outlet temperatures, two-side heat duty, heat-balance closure, overall U, and wall-temperature trends where the sensor layout can be reconstructed. Pressure-drop scoring, wall-material CHT truth and FEA are explicitly excluded from this revision.
