HX-CFD-QUAL-01 clean V2 requalification
Fresh coarse, medium, and fine runs were executed from clean copies under the frozen V2 numerical-evidence core and the frozen two-fluid solid CHT profile. Historical R1–R8 results were not grandfathered.
Final disposition
FAILED_NUMERICAL_GATES
All three solver runs reached 800 s and retained direct outer-loop telemetry. The case remains unqualified because frozen trend, field-stationarity, engineering-monitor, energy/interface, and local-manifold evidence requirements were not all established. No mesh comparison was performed after the per-grid gate failure.

The direct outer-update magnitudes themselves were below the declared 0.01 RMS/q95 limits in the retained 20% tails, but the frozen trend condition also requires a non-increasing or flat tail. That condition was not met, and it cannot be waived because monitors appear stable.
Why the result remains failed
- Per-grid flow and thermal outer-update trend gates failed under the frozen definition.
- Field-stationarity and engineering-monitor acceptance were not established from the retained clean package.
- Solid-storage energy closure, hot/cold duty closure, and integrated interface heat-rate evidence were not retained deterministically for this run, so those gates remain
NOT_ESTABLISHED. - The required inlet-manifold local stationarity observable was not available; global telemetry cannot substitute for it.
- Mesh independence was correctly withheld until every grid passed its own profile gates.
Custody and boundaries
The clean source trees, frozen criteria, V2 Core, and CHT profile hashes were verified unchanged after execution. The wrapper timed out while returning the two larger cases, but both solver logs independently contain a terminal End, exit code 0, and no fatal error; the cases were then copied and hashed directly from the container.
Historical HX-CFD-QUAL-01 remains FAILED_NUMERICAL_GATES, including the historical 1.303% > 1.000% mesh result. This clean run does not rewrite R1–R8. HX-03 remains FROZEN_AND_BLOCKED.
